Yes okay let's do this one again.

AO3 Statistics Meme! (apple_pathways/my version.)

At least this year my results don't make me feel like crying quite as much.

Top 10 Stories By Hits:

1. Pō Pouli ‘A‘aki (A Night So Dark It Bites With the Teeth), Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny. (6834)
Entirely unsurprising, due to fandom, pairing, and length. And presumably people have been recc'ing it? I hope? Anyway, totally deserved, this is the best and most ambitious piece I've ever actually finished writing. I fucking love this story so very very much.

2. The Worst Fear, Marvel Cinematic Universe/The Avengers (2012), Tony/Pepper. (713)
I'm very pleased by the response to this little fic. It seems I struck a chord with a lot of people, a MY FEELS ARE YOUR FEELS kind of scenario. Always nice to know I'm not alone. ♥

3. Mana‘o, Hawaii Five-0, Danny (gen). (512)
Ha ha I tend to forget I wrote this? Again, though, I address something that a lot of other people were thinking about, and apparently I addressed it well?

4. Best Laid Plans, DC Multiverse (Batfamily), Bruce/Dick. (496)
Last year this was my #1, but I hadn't written the above fics yet, so. It's done pretty well for itself! It's a less-trendy fandom, but it's one of the more popular pairings and, like Pō Pouli, more palatable to a mainstream slash audience than most of my fics are.

5. I'll Be Yours (A Love Story), DC Multiverse (Batfamily), one-sided Tim/Dick. (438)
One of my personal favorites, and definitely deserves to be on this list. I am far too neglectful of my poor, disturbing baby, but at least I'm working on it again! I am grateful for every single fan; I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO LOVE THIS AS MUCH AS I DO. T_T

6. ‘A‘ole Maopopo, Hawaii Five-0, Grace (gen). (310)
Another fic where I'm surprised and pleased by the reactions of readers on AO3 and LJ. It seems a lot of people had the same feels about this episode and were pleased to see my coda and felt I'd handled it well. A number of people have also commented that they react the same way that my Grace does. As a writer it's hard to have a better win than knowing you've touched people on a personal level.

7. Hold On To The Good Stuff (And Let Go), Marvel Cinematic Universe/The Avengers (2012), Steve and Tony (gen/possible pre-slash). (284)
I'm glad this made the list, although I feel like the amount of response to it is not proportionate to how much I like it, which is "a lot". I think maybe it just has a lot of Steve/Tony competition?

8. Louder Than Words, Hawaii Five-0, Steve and Danny (gen w/slashy overtones). (225)
This one suffers for being so short, I'm sure, but I'm glad it made the list. I am massively fond of this one, and very proud of it.

9. Reconciliation, Teen Titans (animated series), Robin and Batman (gen). (205)
TWO HUNDRED AND FIVE FANS OF TEEN TITANS GEN-FIC READ THIS STORY. I am actually vaguely embarrassed by this silly little piece, but thrilled that there are actually readers for it. I just. If you're a Teen Titans fan you are automatically cool, true story bro.

10. Do You Know How Many Times, DC Multiverse (Batfamily), Tim/Kon. (168)
Suffers for being tiny and lacking descriptive tags. (I have issues with tags. I hate giving people spoilers, and often sacrifice advertising opportunities for this.) Managed to get on the list by being one of the most popular pairings in the fandom, I think.

Top 10 Stories By Kudos:

1. Pō Pouli ‘A‘aki (A Night So Dark It Bites With the Teeth), Hawaii Five-0. (170)

2. The Worst Fear, Marvel Cinematic Universe/The Avengers (2012). (42)

3. Mana‘o, Hawaii Five-0. (24)

4. Hold On To The Good Stuff (And Let Go), Marvel Cinematic Universe/The Avengers (2012). (20)
Thrilled to see it higher on the list, but still; imo 20 KUDOS IS LESS THAN IT DESERVES.

5. I'll Be Yours (A Love Story), DC Multiverse (Batfamily). (15)
I LOVE ALL 15 OF YOU. ♥

6. Reconciliation, Teen Titans (animated series). (10)
STILL HILARIOUS TO ME.

7. ‘A‘ole Maopopo, Hawaii Five-0. (7)

8. Louder Than Words, Hawaii Five-0. (6)

9. Assisting Arrest, Hawaii Five-0, Danny (gen). (5)
I'm glad at least five people on AO3 liked this. It got a stronger response on LJ. It's VERY SILLY but I kind of love it a lot.

10. Best Laid Plans, DC Multiverse (Batfamily). (4)
An interesting change in position from the previous list. ...I kind of agree? It's not bad, but not my best work, I don't think. It was a present, and I was working outside of my skill set, maybe. It's a cute story, but just... kind of vanilla for my personal taste?

Top 10 Stories By Kudos Percentage:
(What percentage of hits resulted in kudos?)

1. Hold On To The Good Stuff (And Let Go), Marvel Cinematic Universe/The Avengers (2012). 20/284 = 7.0%
NOW THAT'S MORE LIKE IT.

2. The Worst Fear, Marvel Cinematic Universe/The Avengers (2012). 42/713 = 5.9%

3. Reconciliation, Teen Titans (animated series). 10/205 = 4.9%
HILARIOUS. ...Kinda makes sense, though. I haven't gotten the impression that the fandom is full of massive talent, they're probably just thrilled to have found someone who can write at all. It's how I would feel.

4. Mana‘o, Hawaii Five-0. 24/512 = 4.7%
Still vaguely baffled. Like, it's a good fic, but I don't think it's outstanding? Like I said, though, I think I struck a chord with a lot of people.

5. Assisting Arrest, Hawaii Five-0. 5/134 = 3.7%
This fic has a niche market, I think, but it's popular in that niche.

6. I'll Be Yours (A Love Story), DC Multiverse (Batfamily). 15/438 = 3.4%

7. Bad Day, Metanoia, Kevin (gen, one-sided Kevin/Zan). 1/34 = 2.9%
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA~!! I think this is a case of a small sample size fucking with the statistics. ...It's a good story, though, I am rather proud of it.

8. Louder Than Words, Hawaii Five-0. 6/225 = 2.7%

9. Pō Pouli ‘A‘aki (A Night So Dark It Bites With the Teeth), Hawaii Five-0. 170/6834 = 2.5%
IRONY. ...I know this fic is extremely well-liked, based on the number/enthusiastic content of comments and bookmarks. I think this result reflects people who opened it but did not read (due to length, etc.) and people who revisited (length) or reread (really really fucking liked it).

10. ‘A‘ole Maopopo, Hawaii Five-0. 7/310 = 2.3%
